Channel Activity shows you the message volume and engagement breakdown across every channel in your server. It’s a simple but revealing view: some channels are thriving, others are ghost towns — and knowing the difference helps you make smarter decisions about your server structure.

What you’ll see
For each channel, the page shows:
- Total messages in the selected time period
- Unique active members who posted in it
- Average messages per day
- Trend — is activity going up, holding steady, or declining?
Channels are ranked by activity so the most active ones always appear at the top.
How to use this data
Cut dead channels — if a channel has had almost no activity for 30+ days, it’s cluttering your server. Archive or delete it. Fewer channels = easier navigation = better experience for new members.
Double down on what’s working — if one channel is consistently the most active, understand why. What content is driving it? Can you replicate that in other channels?
Rethink low-traffic channels — before deleting a quiet channel, ask whether it’s been promoted. Sometimes a channel is quiet simply because members don’t know it exists.
Optimize your structure — if general chat is by far your busiest channel, it might be time to create more specific topic channels to organize conversations better.
Time range
Select 7, 30, or 90 days to compare different periods. Looking at 30-day vs. 90-day views can reveal whether a previously active channel is trending down before it fully dies.
