Create and manage giveaways for your community directly from the dashboard.

Giveaways are one of the most effective ways to engage your community and attract new members. Apetopia makes it easy to launch a giveaway in minutes — the bot handles everything from announcing it to drawing the winners.

Creating a giveaway

1. Go to Community → Giveaways
2. Click New Giveaway
3. Fill in the details:
   • Prize — what you’re giving away
   • Number of winners — how many people will win
   • Duration — how long the giveaway runs (e.g. 24 hours, 3 days)
   • Channel — where the giveaway will be posted
   • Requirements (optional) — restrict entry to members with a specific role
4. Click Launch — the bot posts the giveaway immediately

Members enter by clicking the 🎉 reaction on the giveaway message. When the timer ends, the bot automatically picks winners and announces them in the same thread.

Managing active giveaways

From the Giveaways page you can see all active giveaways and how many entries each one has. You can also:

• End early — draw winners before the timer runs out
• Reroll — pick a new winner if the original winner doesn’t claim the prize
• Cancel — remove the giveaway without drawing winners

Tips for better giveaways

• Announce in multiple channels — post the giveaway link in your main announcements channel to drive traffic.
• Require a role — gating giveaways to members who have been around for a while rewards loyalty.
• Use giveaways to grow — combine with the Invite Tracking feature so that bigger inviters get bonus entries or exclusive giveaways.
• Be consistent — weekly or bi-weekly giveaways keep members coming back regularly.

The bot needs permission to post in the channel you select and to manage reactions on its messages.
