Server Lockdown lets you instantly restrict who can post in your Discord server. When activated, only members with specific roles (like moderators) can send messages — everyone else is put on read-only mode.

When to use it

Lockdown is a tool for emergencies and planned situations, such as:
  • Spam or raid attacks — cut off disruption immediately while you deal with it
  • High-traffic moments — prevent message flooding during a major announcement
  • Maintenance windows — keep the server quiet while you make structural changes
  • Scheduled pauses — before a big event starts, freeze all channels to build anticipation

Activating a lockdown

  1. Go to Community → Server Lockdown
  2. Choose which channels to lock (all channels or specific ones)
  3. Optionally set a reason — the bot can post a message explaining the lockdown to members
  4. Click Lock Server
The bot will immediately update permissions on the selected channels.

Lifting the lockdown

When you’re ready to re-open:
  1. Go back to Community → Server Lockdown
  2. Click Unlock Server
Everything returns to normal instantly.
Use lockdown sparingly. Frequent or unexplained lockdowns frustrate members. Always communicate what’s happening and how long it will last.
Pair a lockdown with an Auto Message scheduled to explain the situation — members who arrive during the lockdown will see an explanation automatically.
