Silverback Alerts proactively monitors your community and notifies you when something unusual happens — a sudden drop in engagement, a wave of members leaving, an unexpected activity spike, and more.

Alert types

Type	What it means
Engagement Drop	Daily messages fell to less than 40% of your normal average
Activity Spike	Messages surged to 3x your normal average in a single day
Member Exodus	Leaves spiked to 3x your daily average (10+ departures)
Growth Surge	New joins surged to 3x your daily average (20+ joins)
Inactivity	Zero messages for 2 consecutive days in an otherwise active community

Severity levels

Each alert is rated by severity:

• 🔴 Critical — requires immediate attention
• 🟡 Warning — something to watch and address soon
• 🔵 Info — a notable pattern worth knowing about

Running a check

Checks are triggered manually by you. Click Check now on the Alerts page to run a check at any time. The button is rate-limited to once every 4 hours to prevent duplicate alerts.

Resolving alerts

When you’ve addressed an alert or it’s no longer relevant, click the ✕ button to dismiss it. Dismissed alerts move to the Resolved section at the bottom of the page.

Avoiding duplicate alerts

Silverback won’t re-trigger the same alert type within a 12-hour window, so you won’t get spammed if the same condition persists across multiple checks.
