Server Setup

Tell Apetopia which channels and roles to use for each feature.

After the bot joins your server, you need to point it to the right places. Server Setup is where you define which Discord channels and roles are used for giveaways, reports, alerts, and more.

What you configure here

Setting	What it does
Giveaway channel	Where giveaway announcements are posted
Report channel	Where the daily summary report is delivered
Alert channel	Where important notifications from the bot appear
Log channel	Where bot activity and moderation logs are recorded
Member role	The role assigned to new verified members

How to set it up

1. Go to Community → Server Setup
2. For each setting, click the dropdown and select the corresponding channel or role from your server
3. Click Save when you’re done

Changes take effect immediately — no restart required.

Create dedicated channels for bot outputs before setting this up. For example: #giveaways, #announcements, #daily-report. Keeping bot messages in their own channels makes your server much cleaner and easier to manage.

Don’t see your channels or roles?

If a channel or role isn’t appearing in the dropdown, the bot likely doesn’t have permission to see it. Make sure the bot’s role has View Channel access for any channel you want to use.
