What triggers an alert
An alert fires when a single wallet buys or transfers more than a threshold number of NFTs (which you configure) in one transaction. What each alert includes
- The wallet address involved
- How many NFTs were moved
- Whether it was a purchase, transfer, or sale
- The total value (if a sale)
- A link to the transaction on-chain
Setting it up
- Go to NFT Suite → Whale Alerts
- Select your collection
- Choose the Discord channel for whale alerts
- Set the threshold — the minimum number of NFTs in a single transaction that triggers an alert (e.g. 5 or more)
- Click Activate
Why track whales?
Whale movements are important signals for your community:- A large buy can signal confidence and spark excitement
- A large transfer to a new wallet could be a consolidation
- A large sale could be an early warning of downward pressure
Whale Alerts are informational — they show what happened, not what it means. Avoid framing whale movements as inherently good or bad in your community.
